Northaven Stables is a family owned and operated horse boarding stable in Red Hook, NY.

Our mission is to provide the most natural environment for you and your horses to thrive within. We provide a comprehensive suite of facilities, in addition to holistic and individualized care for each animal that we have the privilege of boarding.

We understand how important and how loved your horse is to you, and we are committed to caring for your horse as if it were our own. We strive to provide the highest quality, horse-centered care in a nurturing environment, while fostering a positive atmosphere for both you and your horse to learn, develop, and enjoy your time together.

Our Team

Kim Thomas Sippel

Kim is a seasoned architect with over 40 years’ experience, and in business independently for 20 of those years and counting. Kim’s passion for animals dates back to his childhood- growing up surrounded by family dairy farms in Wisconsin. As a Hudson Valley resident since 1982, Kim has always had a passion for horses and has been riding for over 20 years. He continues his work as a local architect all while fulfilling his dream of owning, riding, working with, and caring for horses on a daily basis here at Northaven Stables. Kim and Sue, as owners, live on property with their 2 dogs.
Sue Sippel

Sue has loved horses for as long as she can remember. As a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, she recalls “saving her pennies” as a young girl to be able to trail ride at a local barn as much as possible. After raising her family Sue picked up riding again on a consistent basis with her husband Kim. Sue recently retired after 44 years of nursing and nurse management, and is more excited than ever to be completely devoted to owning, riding, and caring for horses. Sue and Kim, as owners, live on property with their 2 dogs.
Anneliese Corgnell

Anneliese moved to the Hudson valley from Florida in 2025, growing up with horses and a love for riding at an early age she has been riding for over 12 years jumping at any opportunity to help around the barn or clean stalls for a chance to ride. She began working with Mustangs and corrective training using Natural Horsmanship to show the diversity amongst the minority breeds and overlooked problems throughout the past 5 years while she found a love for competing in endurance riding.
Kerin Pindt

Kerin has lived in the Hudson Valley her whole life, and it has given her so much that she has devoted her life to giving back to this beautiful place she calls home. For the past 17 years, Kerin has worked as a natural horse trainer, focusing on trust and connection with each horse. She also runs a family dog rescue, Pooches Out Of Puerto Rico, with her mother and sister, and work in home healthcare, providing compassionate care to others.
